Understanding your options
Purchase an annuity

Your plan may allow you to instruct your plan's trustee to purchase an annuity for you. An annuity is an insurance contract that guarantees to make payments to you at specified intervals. Assets invested in an annuity continue to grow tax deferred until you begin to take withdrawal payments. Availability of these options varies from plan to plan. Check with your employer's plan administrator for more information.

1. Take the cash
2. Roll it over within 60 days
3. A direct rollover
