Kevin H. Maeda has served as a co-manager of this portion of the Portfolio since its inception. Mr. Maeda, Senior Portfolio Manager and Director of Product Management for the Active Investment Advisors division of Natixis Asset Management Advisors, L.P., joined Active Investment Advisors in 2003. Previously, he served as a consultant to The Home Depot from 2002 to 2003, earned his M.B.A. from the University of California – Los Angeles from 1999 to 2001 and served as a Senior Portfolio Manager at Barclays Global Investors from 1994 to 1999.

In addition to an M.B.A., Mr. Maeda received a B.S. from the University of California – Berkeley. He has over 11 years of investment experience.

Dr. Burton Malkiel

Dr. Burton G. Malkiel, the Chemical Bank Chairman’s Professor of Economics at Princeton University, is the author of the widely read investment book, A Random Walk Down Wall Street. The book has played an important role in helping institutional and individual investors evaluate the use of “index funds”. The revised 9th edition of the book was published in 2007. His latest book From Wall Street to the Great Wall was also published in 2007.

Dr. Malkiel has long held professorships in economics at Princeton, where he was also chairman of the economics department. He was dean of the Yale School of Management and William S. Beinecke Professor of Management Studies from 1981. He is a past appointee to the President’s Council of Economic Advisors. In addition, he serves on the boards of several corporations. He has also served on several investment management boards including the Investment Committee for the American Philosophical Association. He is a past president of the American Finance Association and the International Atlantic Economic Association and is a member of the American Economic Association.

Dr. Malkiel is also the author of over 125 articles and is the author or co-editor of eight other books, the most recent of which are The Random Walk Guide to Investing: 10 Rules for Financial Success and Global Bargain Hunting: An Investor’s Guide to Profits in Emerging Markets, with J. P. Mei.

Dr. Malkiel received his BA and his MBA from Harvard University and his PhD from Princeton University. He began his career in the investment banking department of Smith Barney & Co.

Mr. Acton is Director of Research for AEW Capital Management, L.P. He is responsible for directing the activities of AEW Research, the firm's highly regarded in-house research group. The resources of AEW Research are an integral part of AEW's investment process, and Mike works closely with senior professionals in all areas of the firm to develop investment strategies that seeks to match clients' risk/reward objectives with market opportunities. He chairs AEW's Investment Policy Group and is a standing member of the firm's Investment Committee and Management Committee. Mike is also a member of the firm's Compliance Committee and Risk Management Committee. Prior to joining AEW in 1990, he was with DRI/McGraw-Hill where he managed the Metropolitan Area Forecasting Service. He has over 20 years of experience as an economic analyst and forecaster.

Mr. Acton received his BA from Bates College. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and is NASD Series 7 and 63 licensed.

Mr. Sellecchia started as an investment analyst in the Trust Dept. of Irving Trust & Co. during May of 1976. He worked there for three years before becoming part of the research team of Gabelli & Co. He joined Delafield Asset Management, Inc. in October of 1980, the year it was founded.

Mr. Sellecchia received his BA from Boston College in 1974 and an MBA from New York University in 1976. He achieved his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1980.

A 1986 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Rogers is the co-portfolio manager for Gateway's flagship mutual fund. Chief executive officer and president, he joined Gateway in 1989 after working at LaSalle National Bank's Trust Department in Chicago.

Mr. Rogers earned his M.B.A. from Xavier University.

Michael T. Buckius joined Gateway in 1999 and holds the positions of senior vice president and co-portfolio manager of the Gateway Fund. In addition to portfolio management, his responsibilities include trading, research and client servicing.

Prior to joining Gateway, Mr. Buckius was an equity derivative sales professional at Bear Stearns & Co. and Bankers Trust Company where he specialized in the design and implementation of hedging and monetization strategies for high-net-worth individuals and corporations. Prior to his employment in New York, Mr. Buckius held a number of option related research and trading positions at Alex. Brown & Sons Inc. in Baltimore.

Mr. Buckius holds a B.A. and M.B.A. in Finance from Loyola College in Baltimore. In addition, Mr. Buckius is a CFA charterholder.

David Herro is a Portfolio Manager of The Oakmark International Fund, The Oakmark International Small Cap Fund, and The Oakmark Global Select Fund. He also serves as Chief Investment Officer of International Equities. Mr. Herro has been managing international portfolios since 1986, previously managing an international portfolio for The State of Wisconsin Investment Board. He also served as a Portfolio Manager for international equity portfolios with The Principal Financial Group in Des Moines, Iowa.

Mr. Herro, who joined Harris Associates in 1992, holds a B.S. in Business and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville (1983) and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (1985). He is a CFA charterholder.

Mr. Loeb has co-managed the Harris Associates' segment of Natixis U.S. Diversified Portfolio since October 2000. Mr. Loeb, Partner and Portfolio Manager, joined the company in 1989. Prior to Harris Associates, he was employed by Wertheim Schroder & Co., Inc. He has 15 years investment experience.

Mr. Loeb received a BA from Princeton University and an MBA from Northwestern University and holds the chartered financial analyst designation. He has been a portfolio co-manager on Harris Associates Large Cap Value Fund since July 2002.

Clyde McGregor is a Portfolio Manager of The Oakmark Equity and Income Fund, The Oakmark Global Fund, and numerous separate account portfolios. Prior to joining Harris Associates in 1981, he was an Investment Officer of The Northern Trust Company.

Mr. McGregor holds a B.A. from Oberlin College (1974) and an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1977). He has twenty-nine years of investment experience and is a CFA charterholder.

Bill Nygren

Bill Nygren is the Portfolio Manager of The Oakmark Fund, The Oakmark Select Fund and The Oakmark Global Select Fund. He joined Harris Associates in 1983 as an Investment Analyst and later served as the firm's Director of Research. Previously, he was an Investment Analyst with Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company.

Mr. Nygren earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Minnesota (1980), an M.S. in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Applied Security Analysis Program (1981) and is a CFA charterholder.

Mr. Studzinski is a Portfolio Manager of The Oakmark Equity and Income Fund. Before joining Harris Associates in 1995, he served as vice president and investment officer with Mercantile National Bank of Indiana. Prior to that, he was with a private law practice, served as a staff accountant with Arthur Young & Co., and was an officer on active duty in the U.S. Navy. He has 20 years of investment experience.

Mr. Studzinski received his AB from Boston College in 1971, his JD from Duke University School of Law in 1974, and his MBA from Northwestern University in 1985. He is a CFA charterholder.

Mark Baribeau is vice president and portfolio manager for Loomis, Sayles & Company. As chief investment officer of Loomis Sayles large cap equity group, Mr. Baribeau and his team oversee institutional and retail portfolios, including the Loomis Sayles Growth Fund, USAA Growth Fund and the large-cap growth discipline of the Natixis Equity Diversified Portfolio and the . Prior to joining Loomis Sayles in 1989, he was an economist at John Hancock Financial Services. He began his investment career in 1985.

Mr. Baribeau earned a BA at the University of Vermont and an MA at the University of Maryland. He is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and National Association of Business Economists.

Peter Frick

Mr. Frick is vice president of Loomis, Sayles & Company and global bond product manager for the Loomis Sayles fixed income group. He started his investment career in 1986 and joined Loomis Sayles in 2004. Prior to Loomis Sayles, he worked for Fleet Boston Financial as director of foreign exchange and interest rate risk management. He also worked at Banque Bruxelles Lambert France as assistant vice president in the foreign exchange and interest rate risk management department.

Mr. Frick earned a Master of Economics from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Dan Fuss began his investment career in 1958 and has been with Loomis, Sayles & Company, L.P. since 1976. He is Vice Chairman of the firm and co-manager of numerous institutional accounts for the $58 billion fixed income group.

Mr. Fuss also manages and co-manages a variety of mutual funds with assets over $10 billion – including the flagship Loomis Sayles Bond Fund, Loomis Sayles Strategic Income Fund, Loomis Sayles Institutional High Income Fund, Loomis Sayles Global Markets Fund and Loomis Sayles Investment Grade Bond Fund.

In 2000, he was named to the Fixed Income Analysts Society's Hall of Fame in recognition of his contributions and lifetime achievements in the advancement of the analysis of fixed income securities and portfolios. He is past president of the Boston Security Analysts Society.

Mr. Fuss earned a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Business Administration from Marquette University. He served in the US Navy from 1955 to 1958 and held the rank of Lieutenant.

Kathleen Gaffney is vice president of Loomis, Sayles & Company and portfolio manager for the Loomis Sayles fixed income group. Ms. Gaffney manages institutional and mutual fund portfolios, including the firm's flagship Loomis Sayles Bond Fund as well as the Loomis Sayles Strategic Income Fund, High Income Opportunities Fund, and Loomis Sayles High Income Fund. She is also associate portfolio manager of the Loomis Sayles Investment Grade Bond Fund. Ms. Gaffney started her investment career in 1984 when she joined Loomis Sayles as a fixed income and equity trader for the Boston Counseling Group.

Ms. Gaffney received a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts. She holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst.

Mr. Rolley is vice president of Loomis, Sayles & Company and portfolio manager for the global fixed income group. With over 20 years of investment experience, he co-manages the Loomis Sayles Global Bond Fund, the Loomis Sayles Global Markets Fund, the Loomis Sayles International Bond Fund and other institutional portfolios. He serves as global investment strategist for the firm and is also the head of the yield curve sector team.

Prior to joining Loomis Sayles in 1994, Mr. Rolley worked for DRI/McGraw-Hill as principal and director of international capital market research. His responsibilities included international interest rate and currency forecasting and risk management consulting. He also served as corporate vice president and senior US economist for the institutional equity group at Drexel Burnham Lambert and worked as chief financial economist at Chase Econometrics.

Mr. Rolley earned a BA from Occidental College and studied graduate economics at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a past president of the Boston Association of Business Economists.
